Are you a media aiming at delivering the news?

No, we do not focus on the news but keep looking into the "important not urgent" which, by essence, tend to be mostly independent of the short term news flow.

Are you aiming objectivity?

We do not aim objectivity per se. While we do not have opinions and strictly avoid judging, we do believe that keeping a firm order of priority is of paramount importance to solve issues. We do think that neutrality is superior to pride to foster sound reasoning. We would hope for, love, empathy and courage to guide us.

What does "listen and assess independently of values from people with knowledge" means?

Everybody tends to have opinions about everything. It is fun to exchange views about nuclear power plants, immunology, central bank financial policies, cooking snails and Peruvian classical dance. The question is, what should those opinions weight in our collective decision-making progress?

Let's assume that one of your loved ones got cancer.

Would you ask yesterday diner neighbour with his or her course of action to handle the disease? Would you ask the car dealer how to treat it? Would you ask as many people as possible their opinions on the subject siding with the most eloquent one? The funniest? The loudest? the one that gets the most likes on Instagram? Would you look for political views similar to yours to select the doctor that will be performing surgery? Would you make sure that he or she likes hunting or does share your religious belief?
We would not.

We would seek a specialist (defined as somebody that has developed in-depth knowledge on the subject) and would be utterly agnostic to his or her values.

What is our process?

We start by making sure to understand where the expert's knowledge comes from and assess the validity of their statements. We then aim to articulate their thinking into a broader context. Our ultimate goal is to produce a simple assessment of the primaries cause-effect relationship of each issue and to layout where the most significant hurdles lie.

From there, everyone can use his or her values to determine what could be the best path going forward.
